For Easter, my in-laws came to visit, and they brought one of the things I asked the Easter bunny for this year: decorated sugar cookies. The cross was the cookie theme for Easter this year, but you can usually get these cookies in almost any shape or size with almost any type of decoration. In the past, I’ve had geometrically-shaped cookies as well as animal-shaped cookies with various edible decorations. This batch of cookies was decorated with royal icing and glitter.
Where did my in-laws procure such a cookie, you ask? Sugaree’s Bakery in New Albany, Mississippi, of course.
The video below explains how to make royal icing and decorate sugar cookies with it.
